What Are Dermal Fillers?
Most modern dermal fillers are made with hyaluronic acid, a substance your body produces naturally to keep skin hydrated and plump. The gel is placed under the skin with a fine needle or cannula to add support and volume where it has been lost.
Because the change is structural, results are visible immediately, then settle over the following one to two weeks as any swelling resolves. Your provider will explain which product fits each area and why.

How long do dermal fillers last?
Most hyaluronic acid fillers last about 6 to 18 months, depending on the product, the area treated, and your metabolism. Lips tend to be at the shorter end because they move constantly; cheeks often last longer.
Will I still look like myself?
That is the goal. Your provider assesses your facial proportions and recommends conservative amounts placed where they support your features. You can always add more at a later visit.
What is the difference between filler and Botox?
Filler adds volume and structure under the skin. Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin relax the muscles that create expression lines. Many patients benefit from both, used in different areas.

Can filler be reversed?
